Petto Beans are the first Pettoverse inhabitants and playable characters. The Petto Beans race exited from the Secret Lab and was sent to empty Pettoverse to put there the order, OWN order.

They have unique in-game traits and evolve in Pettoverse activities depending on how you treat them! Distinctive features: tiny beings, hilariously funny and incredibly cute, mutable, have hidden magic power. Super skill: Beans transform into Petto if they are happy.

They are crucial to the entire game experience and have the unique skill to transform into Petto when they are happy. Only players who own Petto Bean NFT will be able to access play-to-earn games and earn $APES tokens.

Petto Camp is a the precursor mini-game of the Pettoverse. Play Petto Camp and earn APES. Keeping Pettos always happy, players reach new levels daily. PETTO’s interest is for APES, as well as the Games, to succeed long term--much more than short-term profit. We will not be taking actions that we think will damage the long-term growth of PETTO.

APES purchased or received between now and the listing date will unlock over the first month after listing, at a rate of roughly 3% per day.

The contract will partially unlock funds every day: 15k tokens per person. The unlocked funds will be automatically sent to private wallets of the team the same day.

Company tokens unlock over a 3 year period. PETTO does not plan to sell any company tokens below the listing price for at least the first 3 months after listing (and likely after that as well).

APES can be staked to generate a continuous token income.

There are 2 staking options:

1. No lock-up stake - users claim daily reward (0.01%).

Our Motivation

Main point that unified our team around the Petto idea is that all of us simply love animals! This is why we have decided to include a social impact element and combine each team member’s motivation, empathy, creativity, and technical skills to create a unique social game that positively impacts animal well-being. Inspired by true passion for animals and making the world a better place for all generations, we want to show that people can have fun and do good at the same time.

What challenges do we see with traditional approaches?

Despite a rising quantity of initiatives around the problem of saving flora and fauna, often people tend to avoid direct interaction with global problems due to psychological pressure and discomfort “Out of sight out of mind”. We want to approach the topic from a different angle and focus on creating an entertaining and fun experience, which has an impact logic built in. We aim to attract the attention of people worldwide to the problem of certain species being close to extinction and generate financial support for their conservation. Petto makes it possible to build global awareness and accumulate positive impact on the environment through the game process of every single individual.

Gamification as an alternative approach.

The main goal of Petto as a social game is to create a continuous flow of support that is used for protection and conservation of endangered animals. The Gamification approach allows going beyond a one-time donation, but thanks to the permanent process of interaction among the game community, creates a cumulative flow of support.

Pettos are game characters that can be mythical or real animals. In the case of real animals, we are creating a specific category of “Ultra Rare” animals and exist as limited characters throughout the entire game. The availability of the Ultra Rare characters is based on the IUCN list for critically endangered species. Every game character which is based on an endangered species is ultra rare and only available in the exact number of the animals remaining in the wild. With this approach we want to raise the problem awareness and the value for such characters at the same time. The game character selection process is a crucial part of our approach. We are using the information provided by the IUCN and the “Red List of Threatened Species”, to determine the status and availability of each species.

Endangered species will represent the most unique and rare game characters in the whole Pettoverse. The initial simple gameplay of nurturing the acquired pet will evolve into a social game experience where the players can interact with their pettos and participate in different in-game activities. Through that additional financial support can be created for animal conservation.

For example, there are only 370 Sumatra Tigers left on the planet. In this case, the game would only have 370 of the specific tiger characters, and the proceeds from the game character sales would be directed to selected animal conservation organizations.

We are committed to the net zero goal, sustainability and building a better future. We are aware of the carbon footprint of blockchains. Therefore we are working with Vlinder, who is supporting us with the accounting to offset the entire CO2 footprint and have selected the Polygon Blockchain, which has the lowest CO2 impact.

The curren game engine is implemented using NodeJS.

We have set up the game logic and a smart contract that ensures that 15% of all game proceeds will be directly accumulated in a dedicated animal support account and released to animal conservation organizations. All financial support will be transferred over the Ethereum blockchain to so-called Ethereum wallets, which will be identified and publicly disclosed on our website and the channels (Twitter) of all participating parties and partners. All fund transfers related to donations require full disclosure of all wallet owners. If the funds flow to an organization that protects animals, and those funds are transferred further, all involved addresses and their owners have to be disclosed. This is a key onboarding requirement for conservation organizations or individuals.
